High amount of noise nearly drowning out dial tone.
Cannot dial out.
Phone rings once on incoming call then stops, when phone is picked up can only hear dial tone.
NTE 5C MK 4 main telephone socket, all testing done from the test outlet within NTE 5C MK 4.

Problem sorted by Openreach engineer, all well within the quoted timeframe. Can’t grumble at that service.

Many thanks.

Many thanks Chris, Is there a timescale for this or do we wait for Openreach to get in touch?

Line test is still failing but for a different reason so I'll log this out to Openreach for further investigation.

Apologies, I was waiting for you to confirm that it's connected to the test socket. If it's still connected I'll do the test now

Hope you did the test Chris, as I needed to re-assemble the NTE 5C MK 4 to get my internet back 😉

Not at the moment. Internal wiring is back connected.

Line test is picking up a potential problem. Is your telephone currently connected directly to the test socket?

Hi igmit,

Can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Chris
