My home phone number stolen ......

Good day everybody . Following a recent couple of hours with my TalkTalk internet unavailable I received a call to my landline. The caller said he had problems with his landline and was dialling his home phone number from his mobile. I have inherited his number . I called my proper number on my mobile and my landline handset just sat there impassively.
I spent an hour with TalkTalk's robotic questions followed by a call centre lady typing the same questions. I don't think she really understood my problem ....
It's been 3 days now without my proper number.
Has anyone else experienced this number hi-jacking?

Hi
Can you please update your Community Profile to include your
- Name
- TalkTalk Telephone number or Account number
- Alternative contact number
We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.
Thanks
Karl
