No Incoming or Outgoing Calls on Landline

Hi, 

I have no dial tone, just background static on my landline. I can’t make or receive calls. If I do call my phone from my mobile I get message saying I’m on the phone and then sent to voicemail. 

I’ve tried the phone in the main socket and same thing happens!! It’s sort of like when someone calls you and doesn’t end the call at their end!!

I’ve run a line test and this has come back saying everything is ok???  My Wi-Fi router is working perfectly though, which uses same wiring in the house and the same main socket I used for testing. It feels like there’s some sort of issue at the exchange.

Thank you @siphosethu-TT  I just hope this gets resolved soon. I first posted about this issue on 27 January and so far have just been repeating the same checks over and over again. Something needs sorting soon.

Not sure if that involves a check from your end or mine??!!

I’ll tell you what I’ve done.

1 I’ve run checks through your website which bizarrely is saying there’s no problem

2 I’ve plugged in wireless and a wired phone to all sockets including master socket and still not working

3 I’ve removed the cover from the master socket and plugged wired phone into test socket - still not working & no dial tone. Master socket is NTC5C Mk4

The phone is still not working. If I call the phone message says I am on a call and goes to voicemail. But internet is working fine.

I can’t think of any other tests I can run.
