My telephone wire goes across my Neighbour's garden which is in a conservation area and has a large tree in it, the branches of which are now close to the wire perilously close to the telephone wire.  The neighbour is reluctant to cut any branches off the tree and thinks that the wire should be relocated.  I want to know if this is possible . I can't get anywhere with the chat bot.

Looking at the BT forum entries, it appears OpenReach wait until there is an actual issue with the line before replacing it or taking any action.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Unfortunately the physical line is the responsibility of OpenReach.

This google search may help give you peace of mind, but ou would need to contact OpenReach for them to look into this and provide a remedy.
