Adding a Tapo security camera to wi-fi.

I have tried to add a Tapo security camera to the wi-fi home network. The camera app informs me the HG635 router has a weak security level WPA0 or WPA1. To add this camera a security level of WPA2 or WPA3 is required.  Anyone added a security camera? Did they need a new router?  Any help or advice appreciated.
