Hi During the last few days every time I clicked on channel 1 for
BBC1 I have been taken to I player. I have read others have had this
problem but I can't find any answers.
I have just tried a retune and now have very few channels. Even thou
during the scan it showed 169 channels found. Help

Hi
Glad to hear this is now behaving itself and not forcibly opening IPLAYER anymore.
Netgem have made a configuration change to some boxes that I have passed over to them to improve things. They are going to roll out a small configuration change to other boxes from today onwards.
Karl.

Hi. Just getting back to let Karl and others know
my TV has been behaving since Christmas eve
After carrying out 4 retunes of the channels
I got the 169 to display on the channel guide.
I have also not had the problem with channel
1 going to Iplayer since then. Don't Know if a
fix has been done or I have just been lucky.
Here's hoping things are going to stay good.

@Parklandgrove, staff always reply to the original poster to avoid confusion between accounts.
You need to start your own thread by going back to the message board and clicking start a topic.
Staff won't be looking out for a reply from you unless they specifically asked you in your own thread.

Hi Karl
Did you get my reply on Monday? I've added my netgem mac number to the notes section you mentioned. We've checked aerial, no problems. No problem with picture quality of bbc 1 or 2 when checked. Still going to iplayer and very slow to go to bbc 1 or 2.
Thanks.

Hi
If you have the Netgem 4K TV Box and are seeing the issue where it is forcing Iplayer when selecting BBC1 or BBC2 (Channel 1 & 2) please check your aerial direct to your TV to make sure there are no signal issues with those channels. If not, please confirm all is ok with your aerial signal, then make sure your 'Community Profile' is up to date with your account number of telephone number so we can locate your details.
Also, please add the MAC Address of your Netgem box to the private notes section of your 'Community Profile' .
The mac address can be located on the sticker on the bottom of the box, and begins 000430
Thanks
Karl.

Hi
I've flagged this to the teams, but they are telling me that these channels will fall back to Iplayer if aerial reception is poor.
Test the aerial direct to your TV and make sure you have a good signal with no picture breakup for channel 1 & 2.
Thanks
Karl.

Staff did respond on Friday, but they are not on here at weekends.
It is a known issue.

Hi, well I’m glad it’s not just us as we thought we’d done something wrong. However, we need someone from Talktalk to respond and tell us whether there’s a fix coming behind the scenes, or tell us the steps to take to get rid of it!
it’s very annoying.

I had the same problem before xmas after spending about two hours unable to fix, it all came back in the evening, same problem to-day not fixed yet.

We get this too.it keeps coming up as iplayer when we choose a channel. Also, sometimes the guide only shows bbc channels although all channels are available. But we can't see them on the guide. We have to unplug the box at the wall and plug in again.
I did report this error on the chat abd an agent went through and we thought we'd fixed it by unplugging/turning back on. But it came back 2 days later. I read here that talktalk are doing a fix? Is this right?
It's very annoying with the iplayer keep coming up

Hi
I've flagged this to our teams. As a workaround for now, channel 101 & 102 work as normal.
Thanks
Karl.
