I have rebooted everything but the box will not record. It's about two years old, but no doubt you can check this.
Has the box simply worn out. Do I need a new one.

It could also be your usb stick become faulty
Did you factory reset or just turn off and on?
A factory reset will lose your recordings but may sort out your issues, including reformatting your usb stick.
To go this, press the button on the left hand side 5 times , whilst on, and the box will restart and reset.
Hope it works.
