Hi have just received the new NetGem 4k box to replace our existing one. Can someone tell me does this box record all programmes not just the currently viewed one and will recordings from our existing box be saved and available to view through the new box. Not had any response via TalkTalk help so far

Hi,
You say it's a NetGem box, which is unusual now as TalkTalk have not supplied this box for somewhile now. The only box they offer now is the TV hub which does not record.
If it is a NetGem box, then recording is via a USB you insert into the box in the rear panel. The box only has one tuner and so will only be able to record the programme you are watching or record 1 programme if the box is in standby.
If you wish to record a programme while watching another, you will need a separate aerial feed to the box and TV and watch a programme on the TV, while the box is on standby.
You cannot view any programmes recorded on another box via another box, even if it is the same model due to licensing issues imposed by the various TV companies.
