I have recently received the new 4k TV box, currently seems ok but can’t get the remote to work the volume on my Panasonic TV, other remotes have worked in the past so can’t seem to find out what to do, can someone help please. Thank you.

Hi

As fr8ys advises, the function does use the CEC option to help identify the TV model. Most models are supported but there will always be the odd model that cannot work with the remote.

Some TVs are not compatible with CEC. Mine isn't.

Hi. Thanks for the info, tried that but for some reason the remote still won’t operate the sound on my TV, will have a look at the Netgem manual, another of life’s little mysteries.

You need HDMI CEC enabled on both box and TV.

Not sure what functions it will actually control though.

Search for Netgem 4k manual and your TV manual which may help.
