We have a YouView box DN372T.01.03P which was sent from TalkTalk a couple of years ago to replace the previous DN370T.
Last month the broadband was converted to full fibre and the YouView box was reconnected accordingly. However we now have a problem with recording live TV programmes: the recordings start correctly but they do not stop at the ends of the selected programmes, so that the box becomes clogged with rubbish recordings. We can see no way to overcome this, short of disconnecting power to the box at the scheduled end of each recording - which is not a feasible way forward.
The questions which arise are:
a) is the malfunction of the box caused by, or related to, the conversion to full fibre broadband?
b) if so, will TalkTalk replace the box with one which functions correctly?
c) or if this is coincidence, will TalkTalk still replace the box with one which functions correctly?

Hi
The issues with the box are coincidental to the switch to full fibre.
You could try a Youview Maintenance Reset selecting the option to keep recordings and see if that helps.
Thanks
Karl.

Thank you Gliwmaeden2 for that information. It looks as though we'll have to rearrange our TV watching routine. I can't see that ITV is going to feature much, as we can't access ITVX and will only be able to watch the live channels (with adverts).

@IanMc2, your current box cannot be replaced with an equivalent box that records.
The only box they currently send out does not have a recording facility.
