Youview Problem

Apologies if this appears twice. New here and my initial attempt to post doesn't seem to have appeared.

372 box did a soft reset a few nights ago. Perhaps this was an update? Since then, I've had recording problems. I'm wondering if it's down to a wrecked hard drive or if it's an update glitch, such as the one which affected the TV menu a while back. That one was sorted by Youview.

- TV, menu, old recordings and apps work fine until recording is attempted

- try recording (either via button or via menu) and it appears to work. But the box doesn't recognise the end of the programme. Continues to show as recording even though it is actually only "recording" a black screen. While this is happening, menu, delete, channel change all fail to work.

- the TV will work again after a soft reset, until recording is attempted

I've tried restore factory (keep recordings) but loth to delete recordings lest this is a glitch which will be resolved.

Does this ring bells with anyone? Grateful for any help.

Thanks

Hi

If the factory reset did not resolve, the only option is to repeat this deleting recordings as this will remove any corrupt files and set the hard drive back up.

If this also fails, then nothing further can be done.  These boxes cannot be repaired or replaced.  TalkTalk have not provided these boxes for the past 4 years and no longer issue a recordable TV Box.

Thanks

Karl.
