CHARGED COMMUNITY ADMIN FEE

I had email from is my bill fair and accepted a new contract from talktalk. Today received email from Talktalk with new pricing but with a £30 admin fee for a new 24 month contract ,this makes it not cheaper till 6 months time

Sorry for the delay, I have checked and the fee should not have been added, It has now been cleared.

Sounds much too early (though I don't know where you would look to find this spelt out for customers  - I suppose 90 days is a "concession", given one is still very much in contract. Actually leaving would incur termination fees unless in the final month, and that is made clear in the Ts&Cs).

 

I think "Is My Bill Fair" needs to be a bit more careful with their advice too - did it come with any caveats about checking contracts etc, @Murphy57?

"Is my bill fair" only looks at superficial billing.

 

More than 90 days before the end of a contract there is an admin fee.

 

See Talktalk's one off charges under "pricing".

 

Buyer beware.
