Hi,
I have left TalkTalk and moved all my services to another provider. How can close my TalkTalk account and my Community Account?

@Gliwmaeden2 customer closed all broadband and landline accounts in April of this year and is no longer a customer. Since they still have access to MyAccount due to TalkTalk's policy of deactivating accounts after a period of inactivity, I offer to deregister them, as they have indicated they no longer wish to maintain access.

Staff have offered to close My Account fully, to deregister it. It means you won't have access to check the details of previous bills from earlier in the year.
The only advantage of deregistering My Account is that it can make life easier if you ever choose to return, so that old and new accounts never get confused
But, for now, the cease of the service was a totally separate operation from closing down the account altogether. You need to specifically ask @Mandisa-TT to close down My Account.

Hi @CJT1980 I have deregistered you, can you try using another device to log into your myaccount and let me know if you are able to access it, do not close this page.

Ah OK, but how do I remove the online account for my now defunct service?

@CJT1980, you can simply remove your community forum profile account by going to Settings in the profile area:

I can still log into the My Account page using my e-mail address via https://service.talktalk.co.uk/myaccount/dashboard so whilst the service has been cancelled the online account remains active. Will you de-registering me cause the online account to be closed?

Hi @CJT1980 Using the details provided in your profile, I have located an account that was closed on April 14, 2025. If this is the account you are referring to, please note that it is already closed. I can proceed with deregistering you from MyAccount, which will also automatically remove you from our community page. Would you like me to proceed with the deregistration?

You are always recommended to check the cease with Talktalk, despite the One Touch Switch assurances.
My Account remains available for reference for several months, and membership of the forum usually remains active while you can sign in using the billing email address you used.
