My account transferred from Shell where I have never missed any payments. I had an email to say that I didn't need to do anything - the bills would be paid using the same direct debit. Now I have been informed that a payment was unsuccessful, despite funds in my account, and been charged £12.50. I have also been told it is my fault (to check with my bank) - for not doing anything? Seems others have been experiencing the same difficulties.

Just to confirm that you will not be charged £12.50, your first bill is showing the pro rata charge from the date the switch happened and then the advance month charge for July.
