How long does it take to get a refund after an account is closed?  My account says -£18.40 due around 18 February 2025, It is now 6 March, over two weeks later and the refund still hasn't hit my account.

Your refund was processed on the 8th and you should have it in 3-5 days.

Carliza, sounds like a nice person, sorry it didn't go well, let's hope she? processed it for you before walking away.

I have just finished a WhatsApp conversation with Carliza, who said she would process the refund for me (I cant find where on 'My Account' I can do that).  She said I should receive the refund within 10 days; this includes 3 days for approval and 3-5 working days for the transfer if approved.  If approved!  I cant understand why this takes so long, silly me, I thought it would be an automated process.  When asked if I am happy and satisfied with the resolution, I replied 'No' and asked why it took so long, no meaningful reply.  I further asked why approval was required and that I wanted £12.50 adding to the refund (that's what TalkTalk charge customers for late payment).  Guess, what... no further response from Carliza!  Customer service at its best, walk away if you cant provide a response.

Anyhow, thanks for your help and the opportunity to vent!

HI @Divsec

Thanks for your response.  In a phone call with TalkTalk when I terminated my contract they intimated the return would be made automatically.  My direct debit is still active, I'll make a request through my account now.
