Using WiFi Analyzer on a tablet I can see that our 5364 router's 5GHz channel is set to 40 which is exactly the same as our neighbours. So I changed ours to 100 and all was OK. However the next day it had gone back to 40, so it was reset to 100 and then it went to 36. I believe there is a TalkTalk "optimisation tool" that is resetting this even though I am manually setting to 100.
So can this auto reset be taken off and what problems / disadvantages are there in using channel 100 which as far as I can see has no other users interfering with it.
Thank you

Hi
I've turned optimisation off for your router. When choosing a 5Ghz channel, please be aware of DFS channel selection as some channels will still change.
Dynamic Frequency Selection allows 5GHz hardware to operate within the same frequency space used by radar such as military and weather. If radar is detected then a different channel will be used. If the airwaves look clear on that channel then it will remain on the channel.
Thanks
Karl.
