DG8041W dropping 2.4GHz band

In the last week my router has somehow 'switched off' the 2.4GHz wifi band on 4 occasions. On each occasion I log into the router's Advanced Configuration, WLAN, 2.4G Basic Network, to see the SSID Status as 'Disabled'. Re-checking the Enable SSID: box and hitting the Apply button fixes it.

Any ideas what may have suddenly caused this to start happening on this relatively old router that has previously worked fine?

Router details:

Hardware Version:I.1.01
Software Version:v1.05t

Funnily enough ,the router has behaved perfectly since I first posted on Monday.

If it fails again, I'll go for a factory reset the weekend after, when I will have sufficient time.

Hi

If a factory reset will not re-enable the Wi-Fi channel, then a replacement router will have to be sent.

Thanks

Karl.

Nope, I was hoping to avoid this as I have a high degree of customisation which will take some time to re-configure.

However a factory reset is the logical first step...

Hi New Forest Giles

Have you tried factory resetting the router?
