I have been without Internet connection for hours now. Tried contacting chat, but they just gave me a general link and refused to answer any questions by passive-aggressively reposting that general link to my question. Online it says that there is an open case, but when I click on it, it says it's been resolved. Cannot do a speed test etc. because TalkTalk "can't find my router". Cannot call anyone or chat to anyone because everything is closed now. I work from home, so I really need Internet connection. TalkTalk service has been absolutely horrendous with useless connection speeds as long as I've been with them since the unfortunate Shell merger. Any idea what I could do?

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with your service. We have a dedicated support team for our Shell migration customers so if you call the number Keith provided (0345 172 0088), they should be able to help

I have asked one of TalkTalk's support to pick your thread up and investigate it for you.
They aim to respond within 48 hours (Monday - Friday) excluding Bank Holidays, but if more urgent you can always try the Service Centre on 0345 172 0088. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first.
To save yourself time, please make sure that your community profile includes your first & last names, broadband phone number & if possible an alternative contact number. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture then click on "My Settings" followed by:-
Personal Profile > Personal Information
Otherwise, TalkTalk will not be able to tie up your forum username to your broadband account. Only you & TalkTalk have visibility of your details.
