I have had no Internet since Friday. I ha e tried all the obligatory resets and switch off instructions but no avail. On rechecking the my connection it said that it was fixed. But no it's not! How long do I wait for a refund as its now eating away at my study time!

Hi NozFoz

Openreach are advising that this fault should now be resolved.

Please can you retest?

Hi NozFoz

I'm sorry to hear this.

I have escalated this fault to Openreach to be investigated by a line engineer.

I will continue to monitor for additional updates and I will post back on this thread.

Thanks

Debbie

@NozFoz, continue to pay your bills as usual.

After the incident is resolved, automatic compensation is awarded for complete loss of service but you'd need to wait about a month before chasing it up, if it failed to show.

Details are here:

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/About-your-auto-compensation-credit/ta-p/2326583

It's a generous amount, to help cover the extra costs and nuisance incurred by the loss of service.

If you check the Ts&Cs (link at the foot of the page) you can see the limits of Talktalk's liability. This is the contract you signed up to as a residential customer.

Staff will be back on here during the day, to run tests. Leave the router switched on for now.
