Repeated DNS Failures

A couple of weeks ago had full fibre installed. After a bit of a rocky start most things are nice and fast however every so often certain sites just stop working; the worst by far is one i use for work. Works for a few minutes then drops. Had firmware updated etc but no luck. Checked the log today and went back to when I was working.
Hundreds of these messages about DNS name resolution failures. This worked relatively well prior to the "upgrade" and there are A LOT of other people using these work servers successfully so they are not the problem.
Wondering if there's some DNS change that can be made or if there's a bigger issue here somewhere? Note that I'm getting these DNS name resolution failures on other sites too but this is by far the most common.

Things seem to be working a lot better now!
Solution would be one of...
The eero router, and Chris' line change.
City Fibre engineer emptied water from an outside box, made some minor changes to the fibre to the house.
Either way it's been a few hours and I've not been kicked out of work VPN or had to swear at a website. Also upload speeds are about 10 times what they were.
Thank you very much!

Will do - also I've been speaking to Eden on your fibre fault team. Ill give the eero another go shortly, but looks like Edens getting an engineer out as there may be a line fault too. Will keep the thread updated...

Hi parkin13,
I've made a change, can you give it an hour for the change to go through and then try connecting the eero again. Please let me know how you get on

Good morning,
I'm sorry for the delay. Have you still been unable to set up the replacement eero since your last post?
Thanks
Michelle

Eero 6, no Internet.
I've got the eero6 router now and tried to get it up and running. Removed previous router, followed app instructions (connected eero6 by ethernet cable to modem) phone Bluetooth to eero connects but then says no Internet. Reset modem and eero, still no Internet.
Not sure if I've done this right?

Hi parkin13,
So just to confirm, you've only received a wifi extender, no eero or returns bag?

No sign of another parcel from yourselves - the other package had a tracking ref from YODEL but not got that for the other package yet either?

Hi parkin13
You should receive an eero. Please let me know if you haven't received this by Thursday.
Thanks

Hi - the Eevo 6 has arrived - but just a wifi extender. Is the router in a separate package?

It looks like you're trying to make the changes in the wrong place. When logged in click on See internet settings > Manage advanced settings > Internet connectivity > DNS IPv4. It will show Obtain DNS Automatically. Click on that and select Manually Specify DNS. Enter 8.8.8.8 in the Primary and 8.8.4.4 in the Secondary server boxes. Click Apply at the bottom.

Hi parkin13
The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive. This will rule out any faults with your current router.
Let us know how the connection compares.
Thanks

Can give that a try. Any idea why my DNS refuses to update on there?

Hi,
Would you like us to send a replacement router for testing purposes to rule this out?
Thanks

The black hub router, dont believe its an eero. Here's the router info from the maintenance site.

Hi parkin13
Thank you. Are you using the hub router or an eero?

Couldn't see where to add account number so added it under Title! The phone number was right but have removed the 44 in case that matters.
