Talktalk charging for nothing

Well, it happened. I put up a post a few weeks ago because I’d switched from Talktalk to Sky and it all went great, but TalkTalk sent an email saying “Sky reached out and let us know you want to stay with TalkTalk” basically, which was an obvious lie. Literally ten minutes after I put up the post, Talktalk sent the correct “sorry to see you go”

email and I thought that was that.

Now, today, I’ve received my first post-Talktalk bill, as I was warned may happen by former talktalk users. They are still billing me and harassing me with emails, despite my account saying “disconnected”. I’m posting this simply so that when they send

debt collectors my way (like they’ve done to others) I’ll now have two posts to quickly explain the situation.

Hey Arne,

If you’d like to speak to person I spoke to one the phone who helped cancel my broadband, he should be able to explain it to you more clearly than what the note shows.

Like I said, I’d made it very clear that I wanted a refund for the awful service I’d been having as well as an issue with an agent who had been texting me via phone texting. I eventually stated that I would not be comfortable paying my final bill due to this and the agent agreed, at no point did he say I’d need to pay that final bill. As I said, the conversation is recorded so you can keep replying and stating different things to try to gaslight me or whatever it is you’re doing but I literally have proof so please take me to court for that bill, please contact someone to get us in front of a small claims judge for this. My email is open if you’d like to send details regarding the dates for court or however you typically handle these disputes.

Thank you,

Demi

Hi,

Sorry which dates are you referring to? I was billed for two dates - the first date is the final month, which I’d already spoken to someone on the phone regarding. The second billed date was for this month, the month after my TalkTalk broadband has been disconnected.

The notes say you can cancel without a cancellation fee, there is nothing about clearing the final bill.

@Demi6, you may have been confused about the dates.

Hey Arne,

As you should know, I had an extended hour-long conversation with an agent over the phone who eventually helped me cancel my contract. Before we got the end stage, we discussed the fact that I’d not be paying my final bill due to the issues I’d had for months with low speeds and internet cut-outs.

That call has been recorded so you can try to gaslight me all you want but it appears you’ll have to take me court and we can have someone look at the actual evidence as opposed to the extortion attempts you normally like to levy.

Take care and please delete all my personal data from the account to avoid me receiving constant emails from a service I no longer use, or I’ll see you in court. Thanks,

Demi
