"Internet Connection type" for wifi mesh

Hi there,

The wifi coverage in my house is dreadful, so I'm thinking of setting up a mesh. However, I need to know my "internet connection type" to set it up (e.g. Dynamic IP, PPPoE, Static IP etc) and I have no idea how to find this out!

Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Thanks. It's dynamic IP address and the following help article has settings for a 3rd party router, hope this helps - Set up a non-TalkTalk router - TalkTalk Help & Support

The router plugs into the phone socket.

(Thanks for the quick replies btw!)

Do you have a box on your wall (ONT) or does your router just connect to your telephone socket?

Hi Chris,

My package is Fibre 65, does that in any way answer your question?

Hi maxBB,

Which service do you have with use - FTTC, FTTP (future fibre) LLU?
