Please link the Talktalk email address in my profile private data settings to my broadband account.

Webmail getting Subscribe banner.

IMAP email via Outlook on PC and Samsung Email on Android devices also not working.
If I need to make any changes to IMAP server settings, please advise.

No worries @Gliwmaeden2 🙂

No, @davecm, as the webform had not previously been mentioned in the previous thread, clarification was necessary.

@nambuso-TT, thanks for checking what happened previously.

Something cannot have been processed correctly back in June if the webform has to be done again now.

Yes. My Talktalk email address is used in the IMAP email clients in Outlook on my PC and in the native or other email clients on my phone, tablet, etc. Sending and receiving on the Talktalk address fails on all the devices.

I have other non-Talktalk email addresses on all of the same devices above, which work as expected. I have changed no settings on any device.

@davecm No problem:)

You mentioned that the IMAP email via Outlook on PC and Samsung Email on Android devices is also not working. Please confirm if that is the same email address that you wanted us to link to your broadband account.

Thanks for confirming that you will re-submit the form.

Could you also please confirm if any IMAP server addresses need to be changed.

It's very confusing when replies from both Talktalk staff and other users are interspersed in the same thread. It reads as though users are telling Talktalk staff how to do their jobs!! It's also difficult to know which posts to reply to.

Perhaps @nambuso-TT could confirm that the necessary action is being taken to reactivate my email account

I've just looked up the IMAP error message code:-

reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for *******@talktalk.net. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

This was your reply to my enquiry in June:-

Hi @davecm customers who do not have TalkTalk account are being transitioned to sign up to EveryMail, an Open-Xchange (OX) email product. The inactive orphan email users will be deleted soon after this movement. You do not have a worry about this as you have an active account, I have escalated this for you therefore you will not be getting any more communication regarding this movement.

Todays's status:-

I have received no further communication, but email has stopped working. Webmail displays a banner. IMAP says server not found if I dig into the failure messages. Do I need to change any server settings? I have not so far made any changes.

@nambuso-TT, was it done back in June, as it was never actually confirmed in the customer's previous thread?

@davecm, it looks like when you posted about this back in June, staff were not familiar with the need to complete a webform on your behalf. You appeared to just receive assurances that all would be well as you are a current Talktalk broadband customer.

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Email/I-should-not-have-to-pay-for-TT-email/td-p/3115325#M189048

So staff do need to complete the form for you now and confirm that it's been done.

Hi there @davecm. I can confirm that the email address listed on your profile under private notes is already linked to your broadband account. Please confirm are you experiencing feature restrictions (i.e. unable to send an email) in the email account?
