Yet again my Internet speeds have plummeted...

I've given up on my TalkTalk Internet this evening and am back on a 4G Hotspot from my phone.

 

Can we not clear up these problems I am having once and for all, please?

 

I have been getting less than 2Mbps for the last hour or so (see screenshot)

I think that this message is in the wrong section... However, it took me a few stabs at getting the message uploaded as the page was apparently not loading correctly, which is why I probably found myself in this forum section...

@OCE_Arne, More than a week later & no-one has replied to my post?  Is there no-one reading & answering these forum comments?

 

I was told on 3 September 2018 (9:34) when I chatted to a Talk Talk agent V.A. that:

 

"Your estimated download speed range is between 44.0 and 73.0. give you a range as your broadband speed depends on a couple of things, including the length and quality of your telephone line and how many people are online. If your speed is significantly lower than this, please get in touch."

 

Well, I'm getting in touch.  Again.

I've completed a line test which hasn't detected any faults and your line is in sync at 47.2mb.

 

Are you connected wired or wireless when you experience the drop in speed?

Hi...

 

There has been quite a gap between when I've reported the drops to today's test & your reply. I only ever write when the download speed has dropped significantly, as was the case on these two occasions. It does seem to be temperamental, meaning that the speed plummets at indeterminate times and then improves again. All by itself.

 

I'm generally wireless - certainly on the laptop which I use most of all.

If the speed does drop again then please can you run a wired speed test to see if the speed is still the same?
