Annoyed my WiFi keeps switching to an occupied channel (1) causing connection losses.

Is it possible to "arrange for Wi-Fi optimisation technology to be switched off" on my line please?

I set it to a free channel on the spectrum (channel 5) then when I trouble shoot my raspberry pi connection drop I spot it has changed back to 5. From a different post I see it's possible for Talk talk to turn off the 'optimisation' that is possibly causing this with my SG4K100174 hub?

Morning,

How are you getting on? Do you still need assistance with this?

Thanks

You should never use channel 5 in the 2.4GHz band, only 1, 6 or 11. This might be why WiFi optimisation wants to move your channel.

The TalkTalk Community has now moved to a peer-to-peer support model. This means that the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - TalkTalk Help & Support

Hi @Geofaf

Do you still need help with this?

Hi Geofaf

I'm sorry to hear this.

Can I just check, have you recently tried rebooting the router?
