Please help....!
My download speed had consistently been around 40-41mbps for ages and it has now dropped to just 21mbps. Nothing with the equipment inside the house has changed for at least the last 12 months.

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for trying this. I've run a test on your line now which hasn't detected a fault. Is there any noise on the voice service?

Hello again Michelle,
The download speed seemed to have improved from the 21mbps I was getting yesterday, to approx. 33mbps when I ran a test before following your suggestion to switch off my router.
After leaving it unplugged for 30 mins and restarting, a speed test a few minutes ago, was still recording around 33mbps. Do you have any idea why (when nothing in the house has changed) it's dropped from a stable 40+ mbps until Monday when it was 21mbps and now to the current 33?
Regards,
Stephen.

Morning,
I'm sorry to hear this. Could you try powering down the router for a full 30 minutes and then retest the speed again as this will reset the current session and can often increase the throughput speeds.
Thanks
Michelle

The talk talk test in 'My Connection' shows a speed of just 21mbps at present, when previously it was 41mbps. Is that what you mean Keith?

If you log into whichever router you have, what speed is reported there? This is often in the initial dashboard area.
