WiFi and new tablet help

Hey lovelies,
Hoping someone can stop me going round in circles!
I have the D-Link DSL-3782 router/hub. WiFi working as it should with my phone and tablet.
Decided to treat myself to a new tablet; the ones I'm looking at mention wifi 5 or wifi 6 and just as I was making my final decision, it occured to me; will my wifi be enough? will the tablets connect? will I need a new router/hub for a more uptodate wifi? Are the tablets that mention wifi 5 or 6 'backwards compatible' with my current wifi?
Any and all help VERY greatly appreciated, thank you.

Good Morning,
@Anonymous yes lovely, arrived in an outrageously fast time! Set up was a breeze.
Haven't bought the new tablet yet, been quite unwell.
Huge thanks to @Debbie-TalkTalk

Thank you 🙂
The router is on its way, please allow 48hrs for this to arrive.
Please let us know how the connection compares with this router.

Hi @Trunkybun
It's not WIFI 6, this would be the eero and you would need to upgrade to FTTP to receive the eero (if available in your area)
I can send a Sagemcom WIFI hub, no charges for this or changes to your contract.

Good Morning lovely Debbie,
Wow, thank you!
Can I ask how this would work?
How much would it cost me? Do I need to re-contract? and most importantly, would the new router offer wifi-5 or wifi-6 and thus solve my problem?
again, thank you so much @Debbie-TalkTalk Debbie-TalkTalk

Morning @Trunkybun
You are using one of our older routers, would you like me to send you a new router?
