Ever since I had accepted a seemingly great free offer to switch to to a "Better and faster" service known as "Fibre" my internet has had intermittent disconnects for up to an hour at a time constantly, Is there a way I can go back to what I was previously using or am I stuck with this now?

Did they leave the copper line for your phone ("copper leave behind"), @RJRiker?
That just might make it possible, but it will have to go eventually altogether.
Have you tried switching off the router for 30 minutes?
That sometimes helps.
Have you had engineers out already to look at this?
Staff won't be back on here before Monday. Make sure you have completed your community profile information for them to identify your account.
They would run tests to try to help diagnose what's going wrong, before sending any engineer out, to make sure it's essential to send one.
