Internet cuts out EVERY night around midnight

It is getting tiresome now.

Every single evening, around midnight my internet just disconnects. Router say it i still connected all the time,.  If i am watching netflix, or playing xbox online, that all disconnects    laptop and mobile disconnect also.

It then takes  between 5 minutes and 4 hours for it to come back online. I have tried resetting router, which does it stuff   comes back online says it is connected when it clearly isnt a nothing will connect with an internet connection.

 

It is just getting very tiresome now.

If it i talk talk resetting each night, why midnight, and not like 3am when less people would be using it.

My does the exact same thing. Every night just after midnight cuts off and usually doesn’t come back until around 5/6 hours later. It’s so frustrating why does it do this. I’m paying for a service that i can’t use at certain times then I shouldn’t be paying full price for it

Mine does this every Sunday at midnight it’s just done it now as we speak I think it might be to do with the servers but it’s extremely annoying

Mine is keep cutting throughout day and night. I did restart, reset etc but still the same. I will look for another provider after 4 years with TT

Mine is doing the same, and has done for months. When I tried to phone them I found out that they are closed and there is no way of getting it sorted at night time. But when I phone them in the day time, they just say everything is working fine. It is because it's not midnight!

Thanks for confirming that this has resolved the issue.

 

We have seen cases where on occasions HomeSafe/Homework time has been activated in My Account. As you have correctly advised, this can be switched off again in My Account.

If you look back through this thread you'll see that this indeed is what staff ask people to check when this happens. 

 

Interesting that you had to disconnect and reconnect.

Just incase anyone else is having this problem, I also had this problem my internet would turn off every night at 12am and I had no idea why. If you log onto your talk talk account and go to my account then scroll down to where it says my security and click onto it and then scroll down and it will say homework time and mine was set to switch the internet off at 12am every day so I switched it off and my internet came back on. Side note I had to swipe down on my phone and switch the internet off and then back on and it was fine. Hope this helps someone.

I've just started a new contract with TalkTalk, nothing was mentioned regarding services would be cut around midnight, on a regular basis for maintenance?

Yes, this is not on. The Talk Talk service is terrible and cannot be relied on at all
