I had full fibre and new router installed yesterday.

I cannot login to the router configuration - Network name/password rejected. Although I can connect devices using these details.

You cannot set a static IP address, that is always done on the device itself. However, I think you mean a DHCP reserved IP address. The address is still automatically assigned, it is just always the same IP address.

To reserve the address that a device currently has, go to:-

Dashboard > Manage my devices > Manage advanced settings

Click on the device in question & use the Device Info tab:-

Click on the Reserve IP button.

To allocate a different IP address to the device, it is necessary to go into the main DHCP configuration at:-

Dashboard > Manage my devicesManage Advanced Settings > TalkTalk Wi-Fi hub > LAN IPv4

Then click the Add Reserved Address button, in the resulting display, select the device’s name & set the address you want to use.

Yes! Thank you - with all the hassle of re-configuring everything I had used the wrong password from the back. Although, in my defence the instructions are not entirely clear.

Now I'm in, can you tell me how to set a static IP address for a device ?

Assuming you have the Safgemcom Hub 2 then you log into it with:-

username: admin

password: (see the router password on the label at the rear of the router, behind the removable lift-up panel)

Hi

You may be trying to use the Wi-Fi details to log into the router.  If you remove the card from the back of the router, the login details should be behind this.

Thanks

Karl.
