Phone not registered on Grandstream

Message 9 of 9
I have followed all the set up instructions, internet works but the phone light on the Grandstream (DVA) is off. How do I know whether TalkTalk has activated this service (because my copper line is still working).

Just to confirm, at the moment you have an internet connected to the ONT and your telephone is working when connected to the old telephone socket?

thanks, Chris, I need to know if TalkTalk has actually made it live as the copper is still working, and I need an almost continuous service as I am on a care support call list.

Hi Elisa24,
Can you also please update your community profile to include your:
- Name
- Telephone number
- Alternative contact number
We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.
Thanks
Chris

Yes, it is, which is why I said to connect the Ethernet cable of the Grandstream directly to the ONT in place of the router.

I am not employed by TalkTalk, I'm just a customer. If my post has fixed the issue, please set Accept as Solution from the 3 dot menu.

Thanks Keith, but what is the ONT? Is it the box on the wall that brings the fibre into the house, ie what I plug the "router" (eero) into?

Connect the Grandstream's Ethernet cable directly to the ONT in place of your router. Then perform a reset on the Grandstream. If it all works now, connect it back to the router as normal.
