Wifi extender
on 21-02-2024 12:45 PM
Since installing full fibre, the router has been moved to a less central position in the house and the WiFi doesn't reach all the rooms. Thinking of getting a booster. How do I get the TalkTalk one? Not easy to work out how to do this on TalkTalk's website!

Hi @kt222
As advised, please can you create your own topic and we can look into this for you.
Thanks

See above, @kt222, - you need to start your own thread.
From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.

Hi @BANAKYN
If you want help, you cannot use someone else's thread.
To get help, you must start your own thread. To create your own thread, go to the main page for the board in question & click the "Start a topic" button.
TalkTalk insists on one thread per problem per customer. Please note, TalkTalk makes the rules, not me.
When you do create your own thread, please state the make/model of router that you currently have & why you think you need a WiFi extender.
Thanks.

Hi Charlotte,
I'm really sorry but unfortunately I can't order the booster for you as it isn't specified for your package. I can send wifi extenders if you want to give them a try?

Hi Debbie,
I didn't receive this Booster, but would still like to try one. I'm pretty sure I added the information you needed on my Community Profile, but is there anything else I need to do?
Thanks,
Charlotte

Hi Charlie_b
Please can you add your name and TalkTalk account number to your Community Profile, I can then send this out for you.
Thanks

Hi Charlie_b
I can send you a WIFI booster for testing to see how the connection compares, would you like me to arrange this?

Hi Michelle
It looks like the Fibre Connection box. We were supplied with an Eero but the engineer could not use it because it needed more output sockets I think. We are therefore using the same modem we had before.

Hi Charlie,
Just to confirm, does it look like the below? The grandstream should be a digital voice adapter for VOIP.

Hi Michelle, Thanks - we're using a wifi hub. It says 'Grand Stream' on it.
