Hi

To have a cable rerouted, will cost £128 and the lead time would be around 2 to 3 weeks as BT see this as cosmetic rather than a fault. What complicates things in this instance, is that the cable is running under another property. If Openreach need to access toe property or dig to access the cable then they have to follow a process to request access from the property owner, and would not take any action until the relevant forms were signed by the property owner.

If your neighbour goes ahead and this caused a fault with your line, then openreach would attend quicker and treat this as a loss of service fault with no charge to you.

Thanks

Karl.
