I'm guessing that's probably because Virgin normally use their own fibre network, and Talktalk normally use the Openreach fibre network. So both could continue to work until Virgin disconnect you, possibly at the end of your current billing cycle, or whatever date you agreed with them.

Hi there @hosays299, really sorry about this but it seems there are no updates as yet available. There was a note left on your account stating they will check for updates on the 19/06/2025. I think it would be best if you call in to the department that's handling your case as they will have more information revolving this case. Thanks

The account says this still Your order's now in progress. And you can track it every step of the way right here in our Welcome Centre.

It shows the engineer appointment as not done but it is done as I have live broadband??

When would the site update correctly.

Seems like something is not gone correctly 🤔

Hi the landline is still active on vm.

They said the following yesterday when asked

This will also be why your One Touch Switch has not yet been completed to trigger your final bill. Have you been in contact with the new provider to see what may be affecting the port over?

And

It is indeed *Talk Talk it is porting to. In this case, please allow for at least 24 hours for the port to finally complete. If after this time you find that you still do not have the number and your new provider is unable to help, we will do our best to assist from here 😊

Any news on Yr side now??

Hi @hosays299 your account is currently inactive and you have until the end of day for your services to be activated, there is a landline number added on the account, for security reasons I will be able to confirm it. We can just wait until your services are activated.

Message 9 of 18

OK so wait for the day to be past and post back tomorrow if the landline is not yet functioning through the Talktalk service  / if it's still functioning through Virgin wiring as that would need sorting, @hosays299.

As staff said earlier, it's too soon to tell.

@davecm, thanks for posting a new topic. @Paul_K2, please return to the message board and click on start a topic to begin your own.

It's very important not to confuse the issue for the OP.

@hosays299, did you use the "right to be forgotten" facility when you previously left? That thread is here:

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Email/end-email/td-p/3031955

Staff should be able to confirm the status of your email address currently etc.

Important re your phone line: did you specifically ask for VOIP to be included in your Full Fibre order at the time of ordering?

Otherwise it can't be added later without a complete reset of the order.

I just started a new thread for what looks like an email possibly sent in error

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Email/I-should-not-have-to-pay-for-TT-email/m-p/3115325#M189026

The previous person had posted in a thread relating to phone services, so you should probably re-post in the new thread

I too have received this email, and don't want to lose my email address (it's an old one, and everything I do is based around it!!).

Firstly is it a legitimate email, or a scam?

It says I am not a TT BroadBand Customer- I am, just not in contract at the moment.

What are my options please? I really don't want to switch to Everymail (never heard of them) and pay £50 for the priviledge.

I could move to Virgin Media and take my email with me.

Kind Regards,

PK.
