No landline -Beware of openreach

My landline has failed . It fails every ten years because Openreach buy the cheapest components available for their exchanges.

I had the same problem ten years ago and Openreach sent a lying scumbag who pretended to repair my home installation when he knew the problem was at the exchange. I was charged £135.

Within minutes of him leaving my home the landline had failed again and this went on for two months. Eventually another engineer attended and told me the problem was actually at the exchange.

I am now going through the same problem again. Thankfully I kept all of the emails from last time so hopefully the problem will be resolved quicker this time.

Hi

OK, lets see if the engineer attends, If not, we can pick this up and contact them.

I had two  text message from Openreach this morning giving me a link to troubleshoot the problem and asking me whether I still want them to attend. The link they sent was useless as it told me to go back to my service provider. I have confirmed their attendance tomorrow but following previous experience I am not holding out much hope

Hi CMJTW

I'm really sorry to hear this. I can see that this fault has been passed to Openreach and an engineer visit has already been arranged.

Please let us know how you get on following this visit.
