I received an email 3 weeks ago from TT asking me to pick an option for my phone as my old copper wire is to be disconnected soon and I will have to pay an extra £12 a month if I want to keep it, also to reply by Feb 11th. I opted for the free set up choice, VOIP, telephone over the internet, and I've still have not received any communication, and yet my landline has went down and I can no longer make or receive calls!
I phoned TT today to ask what has happened to my landline and I just got shifted from dept to dept and was told to hold-on on each occasion so they can get me to the right person. Well after getting put through to finally the right dept after 40 mins they cut me off!!
Has my connection been switched? Is there an voice adaptor being posted to me so I can connect it to my eero router? Are you sending instructions on how to connect this? These are just questions that could have been easily emailed.
I'm extremely dissapointed and would like to know what is happening. I've had no emails whatsoever with regards to my switchover.
Has anyone else experienced this lately?

Yes. Thank you, the landline is fixed now. Still no word when the copper is changing but at least the line is working again.

I don't know if it was logged when I called because I was put from one dept to another having to repeat everthing over and over at each dept.
All want to know is my landline down because I opted for full fibre via the email that was sent to me 3 weeks ago. I would have thought I would have got some kind of communication before they cut my landline off. I thought maybe they were just transistioning me over to becoming full fibre but I haven't had anything sent to say this, or any equipment such as the digital voice adaptor being posted.

Have you called to log a fault with your landline, The copper line is still active.

Yes. I've had a similar experience, with a few more interactions with TalkTalk, but with no real sign of them actually doing anything apart from making promises they don't keep.
