My TV box every week looses channels. I retune several times but they don't come back straight away. It can take a 2 or 3 days before they come back. The only way I can get them back sooner is to Reset the box, but then I loose all my recordings. When I've recorded and then play it back it also jumps 5-6 seconds ahead and freezes. Any ideas what's wrong?

If you connect the aerial direct to the TV and check the channels, do they show any issues, breakup, poor reception etc ?
