Netgem tv box picture frequently pixelating and is unwatchable. Retuning makes no difference. This does not happen when connected direct to tv. Any advice would be appreciated.

Update:

The picture has been much better since resetting the box in the menu, and has only pixelated a few times, possibly due to the high pressure weather (Karl advised that this can be an issue with Freeview).

The picture was mostly unwatchable previously, so this is a great improvement.

Thanks again for your help fr8ys and Karl.

Hi

Just am FYI, there are sporadic issues with freeview pixellation due to the High Pressure weather at the moment.  High pressure always causes freeview issues across the country particularly with channels that may have a lower power signal.

Karl.

Many thanks for your advice.

The soft reset made no difference when I’ve tried before, so I have now tried a box reset from the menu.

The picture is good at the moment, and I will be really pleased if it lasts without breaking up.

I will post an update in due course.

Try a soft reset by turning on and then pressing the on off button 5 times is succession. This may not work on all boxes and if it doesn't, or it does but makes no difference, try a box reset from the menu.

If you have a usb attached for recording, you will lose any recordings and have to reinstall for use as it will think it's been moved to a new box.

Hope it works.
