Are you talking about a new TV or a TalkTalk box?
Which channel number do you use? Is it 1 or 101 if BBC or 3 or 103 if ITV?
Regional programmes can differ between SD and HD broadcasts.
Is the missing channel in the 800 range? If so then the device has pulled in the strongest signal it can receive and put the other in the 800 range. Retune the device and check you chose the correct region when offered a choice.
TalkTalk can have no control over signals beamed to you, so the above advice is offered based on my own personal experience of such issues in the past.
When retuning you could try retuning without the aerial in, which will result in no channels found. This will clear any memory held by the device. Then retune with the aerial back in.
