I was late paying my dads bill for him last month. It was paid yesterday. 

Over 24 hours later still not switched on, and this month's bill wants double. Yet everytime I try and talk to someone about this it's whoops there's a technical problems. It's ridiculous.

The is still and outstanding balance on the account.

The new bill will have been made up a couple of days before you were notified so too late to reflect the payment that you made just yesterday, @Padawanmum.

 

Once issued, it can't be altered - like a printed paper bill.

 

Try switching the router off for a full 30 minutes. If the payment is in the system, this may be enough to restart the connection. If it's not yet cleared, it will take longer.

 

Staff will confirm and let you know what amount is then still due.
