Engineer charge

I have been billed £75 on my most recent bill for an engineer charge.

An engineer did come to my property due to my internet not working. He established the problem was the router. I was sent a replacement router which I connected and my internet was then working again.

In total I was left without internet for almost 1 week. The fault was with the initial router I had been supplied with. As far as I am aware, the engineer did not mention anything about me having caused the fault.

I am extremely disappointed to see that I have been charged when I was not responsible for the issue. I expected compensation for the almost 1 week period without internet and to be charged £75 when the issue was with a router I was provided with is shocking.

Please can someone look into this and help me.

Kind regards,

Amit

Hi.

I am thankful for the refund of the engineer charge.

Am I eligible for any compensation due to having been without internet for almost a week for no fault of my own?

Kind regards,

Amit
