I moved house at the end of last month, and renewed my contract with TalkTalk for another 18 months. I received a letter a few weeks ago saying I'd receive a final bill - I then called TalkTalk and was told I didn't need to worry, there will be no final bill. My outstanding balance is now showing as £115 due to an early exit fee. Why have I received a final bill when 1. I was told I wouldn't, and 2. I didn't cancel my contract?

Sorry for the mistake, I can see the fee was removed by our customer services.

Did you use the Home Move team to set up the new service, @Eloisesl?
Only then should the old contract end without early termination fees.
If you didn't use that process they will be treating it as the end of the old service irrespective of starting a new one.
