Migrated from Shell - Account registration issue

This appears to be a common problem. TalkTalk has sent me emails about the Shell migration which includes my new account number. However, I can't register with that email address because I was previously with TalkTalk and the email is still registered to an old account number which was disconnected in 2021.

 

Can this old account be wiped so that I can register and view my current active service?

Can you try to register your new account, I have removed the old account details so it should be OK now.

You are right, there have been issues. Rest assured that the support team here will help you with this.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries.
