The returns bag is on the way

@Grann, Arne mentioned the 25th - probably of October, so it would take 10 days from then.
So they'll have to calculate the amount to refund you, bearing in mind the switch date.
Staff on here can easily send you the returns bag - it's probably a little too soon to be worrying about it yet, as you get 42 days to return equipment.
It just takes a little while for the cogs and wheels to turn. They can't anticipate the day of the switchover, in case that glitches, doesn't happen or you change your mind, which is why everything needs to be sorted out retrospectively.

Just been into my old account “ bill not ready yet” & according to talk talk the final bill should have arrived within 10 days from close of contract!?
I should also have received a “Return bag “… so I can return talk talk equipment?? That has not arrived !?
so very disappointed with talk talk as I have a loyal customer for MANY years.

@Grann, if the service ended when contracts ended, we'd all be stuck without service for a while, so it rolls on but has to be paid for at the out of contract rate.
The billing is always in a 30 day cycle, in advance, and that doesn't necessarily coincide with the switch date if you leave, so it takes a while to sort out the difference, once the switch has happened.
If you have removed your Direct Debit details, you'll find you need to request a refund that's paid by cheque. The money will show up in My Account, not your bank account, which is why it's far simpler to claim it back if you have left your payment details in place.

I feel that my contact ended with talk talk on the 29-09-24 & I chose to move away from talk talk to another provider, I did not break my contract, simply chose to leave for a better deal.
this does not alter the face that talk talk still wanted ( & I gave ) another months money of £58.03 … as I said.. I feel like talk talk have robbed me, & am looking for money, clearly owed back to me.

Your service does not automatically end when the minimum term contract ends.

Yes I have asked another provider to take over … & yes it was the 25 September & all went over on 4 October… although my land line ceased from talk talk on 29 Sept ( ghat was my contact end date ) I feel very like talk talk have robbed my of one month rental !!! I will never go back to talk talk & am looking for a refund please.

Hi Grann
Have you asked another provider to take over the line?
There is a cease showing on the 25th cancellations tend to take 30 days to complete so the service will still be provided until it completes.

OK, well bear in mind that TalkTalk bill in advance. Assuming you have in fact cancelled your service then your next bill should have a credit balance which you can reclaim.
If you would like the support team to look into this for you make sure that your personal details including TalkTalk phone number and/or account number as they were are complete on your community profile (click here) so that they can link your forum identity with your account and then wait for them to respond.

I have just payed ? £58.03 ?!? No idea why I had to pay for a service from talk talk when I am no longer with them ? I would like to think I will receive a refund at some stage!!! Disappointed with talk talk 100%

So was this recent email a bill notification, or otherwise what was it saying? If your service only ended on 29 September this is not unusual.
