Received a call telling me I can change to a new fibre broadband and after ages explaining it all and agreeing to it I was told it was not available for my property. Then I was put onto customer services to renew my contract which runs out in just under a month. Currently paying £24 a month for broadband and landline (which I don't even have a handset for so never use). After confusing information was given I ended up agreeing to renew on a fixed contract at £24.95 but this was for 24 months not the original 18 months I was offered for £22 but not fixed and told it would go up anyway in April and I don't think includes the landline. I felt pressured and still not sure what I have signed up for and can't understand why I am paying more for longer. I wish you would explain things in laymans terms as some of us are getting too old to deal with all this technology. I have no idea what 'speed' I want and I only use broadband for emails and browsing. No extras like TV or calls. Confused.com!
