For queries about your TalkTalk broadband service.

I was a Post Office broadband customer many years ago. They supplied me with a Zyxel AMG1302 wireless router that provided 2.4GHz wifi only - no 5GHz at all.
Then, over the years, my service was taken over by Shell and now TalkTalk. I still have the same router and performance is very poor - the 2.4GHz band is very congested here.
I have asked for a replacement router but have been told no. Should TalkTalk provide me with a newer one or should I just leave and go to a different broadband provider?

@PH-TT, this old thread is not in the workflow queue, and staff really do require a new topic for each customer, regardless of whether it's a similar issue.
So please return to the message board and click on start a topic to begin your own thread.
Staff will respond during the day and let you know whether they can help or whether you might need to use phone / Chat support to speak to the Shell Migration team about this.
Both phone and Chat closed at 7pm today. Chat should open at 8am tomorrow and phone support at 9am.

Hi @Karl-TalkTalk , sorry to reply on an existing post, if that's not the done thing...
I have the same problem: I need a new router, as the ZYXEL AMG1302-T11C provided by Post Office Broadband is end of life and has known security vulnerabilities.
- Please could you help, or let me know if I should start a new topic (or use the account/tech chat instead)?
- I tried chat earlier but got cut off possibly as it's a bank holiday today.
- My tech savvy son-in-law is helping me to troubleshoot our intermittent internet connection, and this old/insecure router is the first thing we need to sort out before moving onto the other bits of the connection.
- If you need more details please let me know.
Thanks in advance!
PH
