Hi, is this the right place to request a firmware upgrade for my TalkTalk Super Router? Is this something that I can download and flash on the device or rather something that support need to install from remote? Thanks for helping with this. Regards, tt-user.

Hi

If you start your own thread (new message), we’d love to help.

We’ve found that posting in someone else’s conversation makes it harder to follow when looking for an answer.

It’s easier and quicker if we can chat with you in a single thread, if you start your own thread, that will keep our community organised and help others with a similar problem.

Check your home phone number or account number are also added to your Community Profile as that will really help us to find your details quicker.

Thanks

Karl

4 or 5 squads have arrived so far to upgrade my internet connection via underground cable.

All went away saying it can't be done as it requires an overhead connection.

When is the next group of workmen going to arrive and tell me that it can't be done.

Hi Oldman3,

As advised, please can you create your own topic and we'd be happy to check this for you.

Thanks

@Oldman3, you need to (1) start a topic of your own as staff only reply to the original poster.

(2) Complete your community forum profile details, adding your Talktalk phone number or account number in the Profile area. Go via your avatar/name; settings; drop down menu....Personal Information. SAVE CHANGES.

(3) In your new thread, stipulate which router you are using currently.

Hi

Your router is running firmware V1.14t.

This is the latest firmware for that model.

Thanks

Karl.

Hi Karl, thanks for getting back to me.

Would you be able to confirm the latest firmware version available for the following router?

- Model: Super Router HG635

- Hardware version: G.1.01

Thanks, best regards, tt-user.

Hi tt-user

Firmware updates are pushed out automatically when needed, customers cannot download a firmware image directly.

Thanks

Karl.

Leave the router switched on at all times  - it usually receives any updates overnight, but if need be staff can push through an upgrade if it's available.

You cannot download software to do this yourself.

Staff will be back after the weekend, @tt-user.
