The Grandstream router has only 3 ports. I am unable to connect The Hive to the router (central heating thermostat), no control over the central heating.

Can I disconnect the Grandstream router and replace it with another router (the router used prior to Grandstream) as it has 4 Ethernet ports; a Broadband port, and a WAN port? This router with able to control the central heating from my phone.

Hi

If you have the Wi-Fi Hub, this should be a Sagemcom Router.

Thanks

Karl.

Thanks, I'm assuming the Wifi Hub is the old TalkTalk router. I'll give this a go, really need more than 2 ports.

Hi

Do you mean the eero router, this usually has 2 ports.  You can use the Wi-Fi Hub instead of the Eero if you still have this.

Alternatively you can purchase an ethernet switch cheaply that can give more ports.

Karl.

Are you sure that you have a Grandstream router? The only device I know of that is made by Grandstream & supplied by TalkTalk is their (DVA) Digital Voice Adapter.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - TalkTalk Help & Support
