Dropped broadband connection & wifi Drop outs

Hi, I have been experiencing a few problems recently. Dropped broadband/slow connection, wifi drop outs, a phonbe that has started to refuse to connect to the router (but will happily connect to my wifi range extender), a PS4 and Nintendo Switch which has a similar issue with the TalkTalk router (now connected to the wifi range extender, which seems happy to connect to the router). I'm starting to think I might have problems with the router. It's a VSDL Super Router.

All other wifi devices seem happy to connect.

Its hardware version A1 with v1.08t firmware. Seems old (the firmware)? Have I seen people reporting v2?

Thought about buying a router to see if it fixes, but thought I would post here first to see what peple say.

Another problem this morinig. Couldn't log onto the router (just not access, page no available) from any machine and no broadband delivered through the router, despite all lights green on the hardware.

Had to switch off for a couple of minutes and reboot to get access and internet back.

This can't be normal behavior?

Hi groover14

Thanks for updating your Community Profile.

Are you using the DSL3782 router?

Yes, I thought it was a HG633, but you are quite correct. I just checked.

Hi groover14

Thanks for your reply.

I think we should send a replacement HG633 router for testing. Would you like me to arrange this?

Thanks

Debbie

As I said, I think you were correct. I have the DSL3782.

I'm not sure if you mean to send me a replacement DSL3782 or a HG633

Just to be clear, I have the DSL3782

I'll happily try a replacement whatever model you think is best 🙂

Hi groover14

Apologies, I meant send a HG633 to replace the DSL3782 router 🙂

The HG633 router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

Thanks

Debbie
