I got an Email the other day saying we could have FTTP for no extra charge, we currently only pay £23.50 a month for fibre and landline so it sounds a terrific deal.
We`re not that bothered with having high speed internet and we were happy with copper broadband at £19.50 a month, the price means more to us.
Anyway, i rang the number and started getting bombarded with questions about our internet usage, how many in the house use it etc etc.......i started to wonder where it was leading.........it was very difficult to get straight answers.......... It turns out you loose your landline, i have old relatives that ring us on our 60 years old landline phone number, end of the day i didn`t bother with the "special" offer so be warned.....i bet you will end up paying more.

Hello,
I'd recommend contacting the Future Fibre Team directly as they will be able to look into this for you.
Thanks

An old thread that i started in November 2021 ........ but has anyone got this "offer" easily by now ?
I was talking to an Openreach guy the other day and he assured me that the voip connection into the back of the router will retain our original 50 years old phone number....... Does it ? ......... does the monthly cost stay the same ?
I have read a few threads earlier about this "free" offer but nobody has said they have it and it`s marvelous ?

Yep, the current FTTP offerings from TalkTalk are 'data only', so you don't get any landline phone service with them.
